ABOUT ME
First off, thank you for showing interest in my writing. Your support means the world to me!
I am a writer originally from Murray, Kentucky, a tiny town at the state's western tip. I have a love for travel, coffee, yummy vegan treats, and everything in between. I lived in Melbourne, Australia for a stint before moving to my present location: Wilmington, North Carolina, where I am (somewhat) learning to surf and (mostly) nearly drowning every time I mount the board.
I am a MFA candidate in Creative Writing at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, where I concentrate in fiction. I am also pursuing a Certificate in Publishing. Previously, I served as an editorial assistant for swamp pink and now serve as a reader for Ecotone.
I write short stories that explore the gray areas of humanity with a heaping dose of fabulism. Most of my poems and nonfiction are grim in nature and unsettling at heart (so sorry), and likely the places you'll find the clearest glimpse into my life. I also have a YA science fantasy novel in the works.
